the latest addition to our household is lefty pitcher Thomas Szapucki.
After receiving advice from minor league pitching coach Royce Ring last spring (yes, THAT Royce Ring), Thomas learned to have confidence in his changeup, as well as his fastball and curve and had one of the highest strikeout/ innings ratios in the minors in 2016.

He was shut down last season due to back problems that did not require surgery.

As per FK's prospect post in the baseball forum, Thomas is the #3 prospect in the organization, according to baseball prospectus.

He was removed from his game this week in the first inning, and I haven't seen the reason. I hope he isn't injured again.
