I'm a big fan of the Ramones' "Substitute," but I never saw that vid.

Yeah, one of their best covers for sure. I noticed this morning that Lemmy
substitutes for a brief moment around the 3:10 mark.

Looks like he'll be wearing number 22 (according to the roster at Mets.com). A good number for a Mets first baseman. Maybe he'll be a World Series MVP for them some time in the near future.

Good thing that bouncer snuck through because if big Dom needed to leg that one out he'd still be looking for his first hit.

We haven't scored very many of them lately.

I like that Dom Smith catches pop-ups with two hands.

And somehow Lugo struggles through 5 innings with a lead and rain on the way.

I believe that someday I will punch that arrogant foreman at the plant square on his fat nose; that I will get in the last word with my wife; that I will win the Irish sweepstakes; that the Mets will start a winning streak.

In running, it doesn't matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say, "I have finished." There is a lot of satisfaction in that - Fred Lebow

Man, everybody in the park knew Céspedes was going to get the slider away and he still chased.
