UPS doesn't deliver on Sundays, nor do FedEx or the United States Postal Service, yet the Mets have their asses handed to them weekly on this day. Enough. Stop signing for this particular package, do not accept delivery.

Brooms are another matter. Those you should take, along with this series in full. Wrest a sweep from Cincinnati. DeGrom, who used to be clockwork-good on afternoons in general and in daylight at Citi Field in particular, attempts to whisk up his mojo versus former Sterling Cooper art director Sal Romano. Limit your exposure to losing, Mets. C'mon. We have so little left to look forward to. Give us this.
“And if anyone tries to tell you it can't be done, remember the Mets. If they can do it, we can do it.”

18-2 the rest of the way gets them to .500. Gotta have goals.

And the MFYs going 2-18 the rest of the way would be nice, too.

If we don't sweep, I'm gonna have a word with my postal carrier.

Kinda worried about deGrom at this point. Hurt? Tired? Weary of shouldering the burden?

I think he's physically, mentally, and emotionally tired. No peers to draw energy and emotion from.

Funny to see Reyes lose a grounder in the sun.

He also now has a five-inning 3 hitter.

They changed pitchers.
That's good. I didn't want Sewald to vulture a win.
(They ARE going to win, you know.)
