Wasn't Plawecki at first last night too? Or the night before?
I believe that someday I will punch that arrogant foreman at the plant square on his fat nose; that I will get in the last word with my wife; that I will win the Irish sweepstakes; that the Mets will start a winning streak.

I off-the-air baseball news wise, but unless Smith is hurt it would have been
nice for him to get the last start at home in my mind...

Considering that it seems he can't hit lefties with a paddle I don't know if the hometown crowd really wants to see him in there.

Just kinda thought (felt) he was the plan, but I guess the plan is pretty
much up in the air after 2017.

Yeah, he hasn't hit much of anyone lately.
Article in one of the papers this morning about him being worn out from the long season and hoping to come into ST next year in ... wait for it ... the best shape of his life (or words to that effect)

Talk about disappointment: YoungerPooper and I are headed for a short-notice Home Closer dinner date at the park, and not only do we get GsellMySoulForGsomeGsoddamnFastballCommand, but no Smith or Rosario, to boot. Way to reward the diehards, Terr.

Man, Cabrera is at a stage where Duda could pinch-run for him.

If they want to re-boot Little House on the Prairie, I nominate Jason Motte to play Mr. Edwards.

Whoah, got distracted by late dinner and missed a three-run pinch bomb by Smitty.

Hey, José Reyes! THIS is how you end a contract before going to free agency.
