Incomplete Guide to Who's Who on the CPF

I can't confirm that. G of T was how I knew him here.

>>>His view of things and sense of humor apparently didn't jibe with many of the members here.<<<

I don't have much memory of the fella, but I don't think it's necessary to in-
timate that he was run out of town or anything. (if that's what you're intimating)

I've been posting on Mets' boards since late 1997. Except for a couple of ex-
traordinary problems ... everyone is given a hell of a lot of rope here compared
to many other communities and groups and people who don't post here do so of their
own chosing not because they were banned or unwelcome.

I thought it was Astro Annie who joined the parody competition as Miss Pollyanna. I don't even remember Ghost of Throneberry. Is he related to Hot Rod Kanehl?

Yep, it was of his own choosing. As Edgy said above, he was the one who bailed out when he didn't find whatever he was hoping to find when he joined. Didn't mean to intimate anything. Sorry if you took it that way.

Found this place off of the UMDB. And I like it here. Thanks for making this a great forum, everyone.

Throwing myself in here, even though for the life of me I can't recall who I was on the MOFO all those years ago. =:(

I might have been SteveJRogers as thats my usual forum name (and real name) and the name that I used in my "return" to the MOFO after a 5 or so year "break" from the Internet Met Community (AKA World Series Disapointment Hangover)

When I came A-Board-ick to the CPF last year I think it was under SteveJRogers or a Met related handle like newyorkmetsbaseball

mlbaseballtalk was a changeover on CPF since I was hoping to start signing onto other EZBoard baseball forums (i.e. SoSH) but never really got around to it yet. That handle @aol.com is the address I use for this account so it would make things easy if I ever had to log in rather than something completely unrelated (like SteveJRogers)

I remember you from the olden days. I found Mets Online late '97, early '98
if my memory is correct and have been an Mets internet addict since.

This is from around the second page but made me crack up.

I originally was coming here because I noticed The Hot Corner was back, I hadn't known that was the alter-ego of an already present "new" CPFer.

Elster, I'm surprised the southern "accent" didn't give me away.

I generally post under my original name (Rockin' Doc) from the old MOFO days. I changed handles (to The Hot Corner) when I joined the CPF so long ago. When the CPF moved here, I decided to return to my original name, for reasons I still don't fathom.

I will update this thread to reflect now having 2 names here.

Unfortunately, the ladies here don't sometimes refer to me as "hottie" because of my looks.

Olerud Owned refers to Shinjo as Mr. Sparkle. I'd like to hear where he got that.

Zvon seems gnu.

I'm new, but I saw the nickname on the UMD and liked it, being a Shinjo and Simpsons fan. Sounds like it has a history here, though...
